I don’t know what all I can do
but I’m willing to try
in helping out my fellow man
to help him to get by

in being there as a close friend
a stranger it could be
or more important in a home
to help a family

these times in which we’re living in
a helping hand seems rare
when it comes from out of nowhere
and just in time it’s there
____
truly there are some good people
who’ll share God’s love in deeds
really wanting to help a soul
trying to meet their needs
____
that is what love is all about
when it’s given away
this world becomes a better place
when friendship makes the day

and new opportunities rise
for sharing Jesus Christ
letting God work by His Spirit
touching a human life

no matter how little one tries
to share a little love
a large notice has been taken
by Jesus up above
